Leigh Hurst is the Founder of the Feel Your Boobies® Foundation. She also is a Learning & Development professional working as a Relationship Manager for TrainingPros.

Leigh Hurst is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of design experience and a deep expertise in eLearning. With Masters degrees from Florida State University and Northwestern University, and an undergraduate degree from Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications, Leigh has a unique pedagogical understanding of both cognitive and behavioral learning sciences and their application to technology solutions that create behavior change. She also has a sharp understanding of business & management consulting having spent the first 7 years of her career at Accenture. While there, Leigh was selected as 1 of 9 employees internationally to attend a fellowship at the Institute for Learning Sciences at Northwestern University. After leaving Accenture, Leigh worked for several small technology companies to help lead the launch of their online product offerings. She has also been an adjunct professor at Penn State Harrisburg and a guest professor in Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications, where she did her undergraduate degree.

As the Founder of the Feel Your Boobies® Foundation, which she started in 2004, Leigh is a recognized leader in breast cancer advocacy and a noted social entrepreneur. Her organization was the first to focus on the innovative use of technology and social media to promote proactive breast health in young women. With her one simple call to action and unconventional approach, she has saved lives. Her work has been highlighted in the NY Times, NY Post, Mutual of Omaha’s Aha Moment National Ad Campaign, and Women’s Health Magazine. Leigh has also been recognized by awards such as Central Penn Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, Women of Influence, and Non-Profit Innovation Award Winner, 2010 IABC Central PA Communicator of the Year and the winner of 2012 Freschetta Pizza’s Strength of 1 Contest. She is recognized as a thought leader on breast cancer education for young women and has been appointed to serve on the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Breast Cancer in Young Women and the WHO’s Global Breast Cancer Initiative.   Feel Your Boobies® is one of the largest breast cancer organizations on Facebook and finished Top 8 in the Chase Community Giving Challenge.

Leigh is also a motivational speaker, author of “Say Something Big: Feel Your Boobies®. Find Your Voice.”, a mother to two young boys, and two dogs.
